Phobophobia – Fear of phobias

Phobophobia is the fear of phobias. The origin of the word phobo is Greek (meaning irrational fear) and phobia is Greek (meaning fear). Phobophobia is taken into account to be a particular phobia, which is discussed on the home page. Phobophobia can be related to Panophobia or Panphobia or Pantophobia or Pamphobia (which are all the concern of everything) and Polyphobia (fear of many things).

Causes of Phobophobia

It is mostly accepted that phobias come up from a mix of exterior events (i.e. traumatic events) and inner predispositions (i.e. heredity or genetics). Many specific phobias will be traced back to a selected triggering event, often a traumatic experience at an early age. Social phobias and agoraphobia have more complicated causes that aren’t entirely known at this time. It is believed that heredity, genetics, and mind chemistry combine with life-experiences to play a serious role within the development of phobias.
