Kathisophobia- Fear of sitting down
Kathisophobia can be defined as the fear of sitting down. Some symptoms for this phobia include breathlessness, excessive sweating, nausea, dry mouth, feeling sick, shaking, coronary heart palpitations, inability to speak or suppose clearly, a concern of dying, changing into mad or shedding control, a sensation of detachment from reality or a full blown nervousness attack.
Kathisophobia is an intense concern of something that poses no actual danger. Some adults with this phobia realize that these fears are irrational, however they are unable to face, or consider facing this illness. Just the idea can bring panic attacks and intense anxiety.
Hypnotherapy is useful in helping a person reprogram their subconscious “programs.” When a person’s program is “de-bugged” the symptoms of Kathisophobia can be minimized. However, some people do not enjoy having a therapist tinkering with their internal “software”. Nonetheless, Hypnotherapy is effective and can work rather quickly.
